Alcuni
interessanti paralleli in Ascalone 2012: 2A.30 potrebbero far

My thanks to Professor Garbini – my first teacher, who initiated
me to, and stirred up my passion for the study of the Ancient Near
East – for information about how the Orientale acquired his seals.
10
My thanks to the photographer, Antonio Aragona, for taking the
time to patiently redo some shots, at my request, to enhance the
visibility of certain details of the scenes shown on the seals.
11
I would like to thank Mariano Cinque for having taken upon
himself, always with enthusiasm and a smile, the delicate task of
scanning and cleaning up all the photographs of the impressions
and, in general, all the images.

Seidl 1957: 488b, argues it is the symbol of the god Ninurta; Green

: 55: ‘Some of the seals

Elamite origin’. According to our present knowledge of the
Elamite civilization, which has much advanced since the 1970s,
this appears to be a classical paleo-Elamite seal from Susa. Some
interesting parallels in Ascalone 2012: 2A.30 suggest a slightly
earlier date, to the old or transitional paleo-Elamite, corresponding
to the initial phase of the Sukkal-mah dynasty.
